CONNECTivity Event
To improve the visibility and digital as its offline presence, CONNECT-Asia organizes a series of activities called simply as CONNECTivity event. The CONNECTivity event comprises of various activities for a spectrum of participant groups.
The Inaugural Day will present the "Building Green Society" online seminar with distinguished speakers from different sectors of UNESCO speaking from distributed locations around the globe. The seminar will be hosted and moderated from Directorate of Higher Education, Ministry of Education, Indonesia and INHERENT, Jakarta. The seminar will take place on Friday, 25 November 2011 at 07:00 GMT or 14:00 Jakarta time...
In December 2011, the participants will be invited to join the mystery and adventures of online workshop "AGORAsia : Unlocking the Hidden Wonder of World Heritage". This session will involve universities students and children to participate in discussions on world heritage and features the heritage site of Borobudur Temple.
The AGORAsia Workshop Series will have four sessions from December 2011 to March 2012, with topics such as: Traditional and Digital Preservation Engineering, Wooden Architecture, Environment and Sustainability Management in Urban Areas (tentative).
Besides interactive sessions, CONNECTivity also offers to students in junior high schools to participate in a Video Contest with the theme "My World Heritage". In this video contest, the participants are invited to explain what world heritage is for them and what they can do to protect it. The video with duration up to five minutes can be submitted to CONNECT-Asia Youtube Channel and will be selected. The selected winners of the contest will be presented with prizes and certificates.
