Medical Education Initiative and the 33rd APAN Meeting
CONNECT Asia's partner, SOI Asia, is currently proposing to setup a Medical Education Initiative which will focus on medical sciences education in Asia.
SOI Asia would like to identify faculty member who are interested in this activity at each partner site and form a committee that will discuss further details to identify key areas and future activities. Hopefully this activity could be a space to share expertise of the latest medical sciences technology for wider practice and for stronger education by utilizing Information Technology and network in Asia.
In accordance to the medical education initiative, APAN (Asia-Pacific Advanced Network) invites all interested partners to attend the 33rd APAN Meeting from 13 to 17 February in Chiang Mai, Thailand. This 5-days event will highlight tutorials, workshops and demonstrations covering advanced network technologies and applications. There will be plenty of opportunities to interact with researchers and practitioners from Asia Pacific and beyond during this meeting.
APAN 33's five-days program spans network and application technologies, as well as case studies of advanced networking in areas such as:
- Applications: Medical, High Definition TV, e-Research, Middleware and e-Culture
- Network Technology: IPv6, Network, Lambda, Security, Future Internet
- Natural Resources: Agriculture, Earth Monitoring, and Environmental sensors
